COMMUNITY SEATED DANCING

All the fun of dancing but in a chair!

What is seated dancing?… What is that?… How can you be seated and dance? You may ask, is it for me, I’m not ready for that yet….

Well these chair based exercise classes support people through the power of dance! They have all the fun of dancing but in a chair. We choreograph upper body movements to fabulous uplifting music.

Although primarily aimed as an exercise class for those less able, or for older people or others with health conditions, or a disability, the class can also be done standing.

The dance routines are fun and easy to learn. They are fully inclusive and get everyone involved no matter what their ability. Suitable for wheelchair users, static seated or standing (or a mixture of both).  The classes are so much more than just an exercise class. You’ll meet new people, make friends and we encourage you to sing along to the music if you want.

Whats not to like…fun exercise, singing, making friends… and we also have a cuppa and biscuits afterwards, giving you time to socialise.

Dancing is a multidemsional activity that contributes postively to many aspects of a person’s overall health. Dancing also boosts happiness and mental health. It keeps the body and brain active and makes you feel great.
