Who We Are
Who We Are
Dancing for Health CIC is a non-profit organisation that uses dance as a physical and social activity to help people with long term health conditions, the elderly, disabled, reduced fitness levels or mobility issues and those with anxiety, stress, depression or loneliness.
Our programmes are delivered in healthcare settings, community groups and online.
Our Vision
It is our vision to assist and help people with many different health
issues and to see these physical and social activity programmes rolled out nationwide. We will create sustainable dance intervention therapy programmes, through our endorsed instructor training course.
Why We Do It
Our mission is to make a difference through dance and bring joy to
others. Our classes are for those who may not have access to public dance classes. We want to make dance inclusive and accessible to everyone, as it has numerous physical and mental health benefits.
We were pioneers in using partner dancing in hospice and hospital
settings. Our programs are designed to complement existing
treatments and have been backed by research showing their positive effects. We help our participants improve their health and well-being through dance, one step at a time.
Our Values
Our values embody our way of working and they are:
PIONEERING – To positively impact the lives of others and to offer help to those who need it the most through our pioneering, sustainable dance intervention therapy programmes.
DEDICATED – We are dedicated to helping to improve the quality of life for people living with long term health issues nationwide.
INSPIRING – To inspire others. Our positive energy and enthusiasm will help people cope with their illness. And our passion will inspire others to get involved.
PROFESSIONAL – we set our standards high, both in what we do and how we do it.
COMPASSIONATE – We treat everyone with care. We listen to their needs and provide personalised programmes that’s right for them.
