Award-winning Seated Dance Programme

Our evidenced based seated dance activity programme is a 2023 Irish Healthcare Award Winner, with demonstrable benefits to both physical and mental wellbeing. Our seated dance classes are suitable for wheelchair users, static seated or standing, making our sessions suitable for all levels and abilities.

Seated dancing has many health benefits, it improves your strength, mobility, flexibility and fitness. Strengthens core and upper body. It is good for brain function and coordination. The versatility of being chair based means participants with health conditions can manage
longer sessions than if they were standing.

Our seated classes have a real community atmosphere. Classes are fun, a place to socialise, helping reduce isolation by making new
friends. it’s good for your mental health and wellbeing, boosting mood, confidence and lifting your spirits, whilst relieving stress and reducing anxiety.

Partner Dance and 1 to 1 Assisted Dancing

The partner dancing has been specially designed for those with reduced fitness levels and restrictions in movement. The style has been simplified and is easy to learn. Making the class suitable for a range of levels and mobilities.

As part of our partner dance services, we also offer 1 to 1 assisted dancing, where the instructor will create a bespoke programme to suit your individual needs.
